About ten years ago one of our high school English teachers, during a lesson on the library, remarked to her students that one way to really frustrate the librarian was to go along the library book shelves and push every other book back into the shelves. Later that day, you guessed it, all over the library books were pushed back in this pattern. This continued the rest of the year even though, after I found out why and asked the teacher to please talk to her students and at least NOT share this tactic with any other classes. As a matter of fact, I continued to find book shelves arranged this way over several years until it finally subsided. But guess what, I'm finding it again--now after 10 years--the English teacher says she no longer tells her students about this--soooo maybe her former students have told THEIR kids. Each time I find a shelf of "specially arranged" books, I remember that class from so many years ago!!! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + Janis A.
