I am looking for a book that I saw in the late 1990's. It compared 4 towns (cities) through the ages. For example showing New York as being inhabited by native Americans while London was a large metropolis. Showing how both were insignificant in 100 AD while Rome was huge. The illustrations were in color with tiny details. There were four equal squares of land on a open page spread. Thank you for your assistance.
