This allergy can kill her child. I think any mother would be very protective. Some children are so sensitive that kissing someone on the lips who has eaten pb can send them into anaphylaxis. They don't have to eat it. Anaphylaxis is often fatal. Please look at it from her perspective. I imagine having a child die in your class or library would be the worst thing that would happen to you in your life.
