A few weeks ago someone wrote in about a way to prevent the loss of office supplies like staplers, hole punchers, etc. I can't remember if I wrote this in but my idea on this has become a reality. The maintenance staff took a sanded piece of wood, about 4 ft. long and 1 ft. wide and glued (using gorilla glue) or screwed onto it an: electronic stapler, 3 hole punch (attached with a long, metal cable so I can empty the bottom) scissor ( using the same kind of cable) calculator (solar) tape dispenser, electronic pencil sharpener, a ruler. The wood is not attached to anything but it is too big and bulky to steal easily and would surely be noticed. I can take the whole thing and lock it up at night if I want to. All the students who have commented to me about this think it is a great idea. -- Sharon Hamer Librarian Hyde School Woodstock, Ct. 06281 860-963-4726 HYDE The leader in family-based character education. -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
