I have been using the following sites this week with 8th graders, and they are working very well: Bridges-has a neat skills/interest quiz and then gives a list of recommended occupations. I used this to introduce the unit with all the students. Visually appealing. www.mi.cx.bridges.com <http://www.mi.cx.bridges.com/> Get Tech-has lots of info about ALL KINDS of jobs that use technology, including computer, medical, engineering, and other areas www.gettech.org <http://www.gettech.org/> Career Info Net- has a section with downloadable video clips on many careers. However, I recommended that students try this from home so the network is not overwhelmed with video downloading. www.careernet.org <http://www.careernet.org/> Find Careers at iseek-another site with information on many different careers www.iseek.org <http://www.iseek.org/> Hope it helps!
