Hello...a couple of ideas. I have used a few security products from catalogs like Demco and Highsmith, with little adhesive squares attached to a cable. My library aide labels things with the following: "This item was stolen from the Primary Library"; this message brings things back from borrowers, with sheepish apologies! Lastly, my husband, who is a high school teacher, loans items like staplers and hole punches to his students in exchange for one of their shoes, on the theory that they're likely to notice if they leave without it!
