Hi, I have been reading the listserv for a year and a half and have found lots of useful and interesting information for all of you. Now I am asking for some specific help. My principal wants me to present to the parents, in conjunction with the Title 1 staff, a series of literacy nights. What he envisions, I think, is a list for every grade level of 6-8 books, both classic and modern, that every child should have been exposed to by the time he/she reaches high school. He wants a specific list for every grade from pre-school though 8th. I know I have some ideas, (my specific contribution to the group is to be at the 7th and 8th grade level,) but having been a LMS for only the last year, I would appreciate any input you might have. Please respond off list and I will post a HIT if there is any interest. Thanks in advance, Margaret Phoenix Elementary LMS Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School Worcester, MA mphoenix12e@hotmail.com _________________________________________________________________ Don’t just search.
