Hello, all, I am starting to fret about preparing for maternity leave this Spring. I believe I will be out from late March through the end of the year. I checked the archives and didn't find much help, so I'm hoping for some advice/opinions... (I am in a K-5 school with approx. 700 students. Also, I do not have an assistant, so my sub will be on his/her own with a cadre of parent volunteers.) 1. Any good resource books with ready-made library lessons for K-5? 2. Which would be better - a sub who knows the students but not much about libraries or a sub who knows libraries but not our students? 3. How much planning is expected for the sub- general guidelines or specific daily lessons for each class? 4. Any words of wisdom from someone who has done an extended leave recently? Thanks so much. I will post a hit if there is interest. -Melissa Edwards Media Coordinator New Hope Elementary Wilson, NC newhopeelem@yahoo.com --------------------------------- Yahoo!
