Thank you for your input everyone. It definitely reinforced the brand and model that was chosen. Recommended brands were: Hitachi (the brand that we are going with and specifically model CPS-240), Epson Emp-81 and Lite, NEC Model VT670, and Sharp XR-10. Several people advised to avoid Infocus, specifically the low- to mid-level models. To quote one person: "They will not repair or sell parts, the bulbs are expensive, the cables are proprietary, and they will only shut down with the remote. I know one company that just throws them away when they burn out or stop working." So for those of you who are looking at the low-end models of Infocus, I would ask for more money and go with either a higher end model of Infocus or go with a different brand.
