I'm really wanting to implement wikis with my freshman orientation. I plan to use the idea of the database wiki and I'm getting that set-up; however, I'd like to provide the students with a Library Search Wiki which will require them to search for information in the library, in our online catalog, and in our print reference section BEFORE inputting their research into a Wiki. I'd like to create a program by which the research process is built upon. I can assign the students to the wiki, so I can see who contributes (thus graded) but I'm really trying to figure out how to build this assignment into something that requires research. I'd rather not ask questions that have to be answered by locating a book on the shelf. But...what?? If you have ideas, let me know. I'll post the wiki later this weekend and send you a link to see how this may work. (I'll also send a link to my Database Wiki.)
