Whenever a student checks out a cookbook, I always tell them that it's the rule that they have to bring us some of whatever they're cooking. I then smile so that they know I'm mostly joking. But lo and behold, this semester a student brought us a plate of little petit fours to sample!! And boy, were they delicious...Isn't it fun when they surprise us by showing that they actually listen to us?! I don't know how many years I have been asking this. Well.. this year was the first year someone did. An 8th grader brought me a water bottle of sand from the Florida Keys. He hid it behind his back, jumped and pushed it to me saying "Ka-Ching" It is so nice to get "warm and fuzzy" thoughts -------- Frederick Muller, Librarian Halsted Middle School (Grades 6-8) 59 Halsted Street Newton, NJ 07860 my book comments are compiled at www.halsted.org/br.htm My blog is MullerInTheMiddle.Blogspot.com Copyright Frederick B.
