Thanks so much all of you... I'm so glad that Kimberly Passalugo found the link to the story I was searching for.. http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=1633286&page=1&WNT=true As many of you suggested, it was referring to the book Freakonomics which was written by an economists who in a quantitative kind of guy. In other words he looks at numbers and looks for correlations, not causations. He's the guy who not too long ago made the connection that legalizing abortion is the reason the crime rate has gone down. I appreciate the suggestions to read Trelease, Krashen, and Allington. All of whom I hope we are all familar. I am anxious to chat with my principal tomorrow, as he had the opportunity to hear Richard Allington today at his district principal meeting.
