Dear LM_NET: I am planning to do a month-long celebration of poetry. The art teacher and the English teacher have agreed to cooperate with their classes. I would like to have "P" activities. I will decorate the library walls, shelves, windows and doors with the projects. I have a list of 30 so far but if you can think of anything clever for history, math or science, please e-mail me. Here's a few I have planned so far: Plate a poem: Write a poem on a paper plate Put a poem in your pocket: Write a poem on pocket sized paper Package a poem: write a poem on a piece of wrapping paper, fold it up and give it to someone. Plaster the portal with poems: cover the doors with poems Paint a poem. Paint words or lines of a poem Put a poem on a petal. A word for each petal. Thanks.
