It has always been my understanding that you could install computer software on more than one computer if the disk is required to operate the program. I have now been told this is illegal. Are there laws prohibiting this? (I am particularly concerned with games and etc.) Are there any of you who have used any particular references that deal specifically with computer software copyright? I am concerned with school use only.
