Funny you should ask. We just completed a worksheet on the Almanac. My juniors and seniors were fascinated! They had never used one.. not in any class. Unbelievable. I was amazed and saddened. So I sat about to make it as tantalizing as I could. They loved it. They started looking up facts and began a version of trivial pursuit, trying to stump each other. Who know how many chickens were in Columbia, or the tuition of George Washington University, or the largest freshwater fish ever caught in the U.S.? The largest caught in Australia could have fed our entire senior class. We had fun. I'll keep getting it.
