[LM_NET] target-books on the crisis in education for boys

Hi Everyone,
I wondered if anyone has recently read or heard about good books on 
this topic.  I've read a bit on the plight of boys (the statistics for 
high school graduation, college entrance etc.) but I've also read 
recently Judith Warner's article. She wrote about the plight of boys in 
poor neighb orhoods and ghetto schools where they are experiencing no 
success or very little.  She wrote that the boys in middle and upper 
income schools were doing just fine.  I'd love to read anything on this 
topic.  Can you give me some book titles on the subject?  TIA from
