I'm confused about what our real role as librarian should be in the schools. Most schools have a reading specialist, but most principal expect us to have the same role as the reading specialist. I always thought we were information specialists, and our main goal is to help students find information they need. But principals expect us to know the intricancies of teaching reading. In my Master's degree in Library Science, they did not have enven one reading course. Can someone please explain. Are the principals confused about our roles, or am I the one that's confused. -- Sam DiMartino Prosser Career Academy Chicago Public Schools sam.dimartino@gmail.com http://www.geocities.com/samdimar/index.htm -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
