Although the saving of the show Jericho is interesting and unprecedented only because it used the power of the Internet, a better example of the Internet's power might be the rise of Barack Obama. He is truly the Internet candidate and raised most of his money and support online. Although I have never visited his website, I hear from the media that he has a phenomenal online presence. Students could use this as an example of Internet power while learning something about current events and American politics.
