LM_NET Archive



Several of you have asked what activities I am planning to go along with story:  
When the students arrive at library I will great them at the door, and the door 
windows will be covered with construction paper.  I will let them in one at a time 
with the instruction that they are to select one balloon and hold onto it and sit 
at the working tables.  I have prepared some simple templates for a writing 
exercise.  Referring to the film, each balloon had a crayon color name.  Students 
will be asked to name their color creatively.  The bolloons also had special powers 
based on who they belonged to ... I will be asking them to write what special power 
their balloon has.  They will write a simple descriptive paragraph and we will 
share them.

Balloons are just playful and fun, I'm thinking we can play musical 
balloons....same as chairs, only need to grab a string.  And finally we will watch 
the movie with our balloon..... if anyone else has ideas to share, please post them.
