I'm looking for an appropriate nonfiction crime book for a 5th gr. girl who reads on the 7th/8th gr. reading level. Her teacher asked her what she watches on TV and her response was Law & Order & CSI... (No judgement on my part :) ) Her teacher found a book on Amazon that she herself wants to read, as well as the principal. I was to ILL it for her. It's about a brutal family murder told through the eyes of the father and daughter. "The Year We Disappeared; A father/daughter memoir" - by Cylin and John Busby After I read a little about it, I told the teacher I would ask my listserv if any title came to your minds that was more age appropriate. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance. Lori Belair, Librarian A.J.
