LM_NET Archive



You might think of this in couple different ways, Tony.
If you want to put them on the shelf with everything else then 070.1/75
(DDC22) is correct. In my library, however, I keep school newsletters with
other periodicals in a separate collection so I don't give them a call
number per se (actually I do for the catalog but it doesn't use Dewey
numbers). I have a lot of journals in my professional collection but rather
than giving them call numbers, they just are placed in boxes and put on the
shelf at the end of the book collection in alphabetical order by title.
BTW, we recently decided to archivally preserve our almost fifty years worth
of school newspapers and because they will be much larger than anything else
in the library I need to figure out where we are going to put them. Dewey
won't "dew" sometimes.
