A few people asked for a hit.. Here are the replies:

If you want free signs go to:
www.janbrett.com
Under activities you'll find library signs, bookmarks, alphabets, and
tons more to print. There's even a zebra sign you can customize.

(THIS IS WHAT I AM DOING> THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL!)

We actually made our own for our K-2 building. We of course listed the call
numbers on the edge of the shelf (example T-Z) for Everybody books. Then we color
coded each shelf. This way when students ask where are the Clifford books, we can
tell them to go to the red shelf for example.
We made looks of picture signs for our non-fiction placing them in appropriate
places.
Very cheap way to go . . . all you need is a color printer.

I made my own signage with Word and cardstock, laminated to last. Signage is
located at the end of the stacks and is conveniently out of the way of little ( and
bigger) hands.

Libraryskills.com may be where you got the signage you saw before. It is simplistic
and attractives.

Upstart (www.upstartpromotions.com

 ) or Library Skills www.libraryskills.com

might have what you are looking for.

We make our own, but just for the shelves not the walls. I use brightly colored
paper, laminate and attach with Command Adhesive Strips as they can be removed
without damaging the shelves. I'm getting ready to make some that will feature
Clifford, Berenstain Bears, Seuss, etc. Just little ones to add to a shelves to
help my children find some favorite characters.

Don't know if this helps, but I have alway found the large costly ones to not be as
helpful as my own creations. I also have the art classes working on a project to
hang over the OPAC so you might be able to get some help that way or even do it in
class as a nice Dewey lesson.

Have you tried Highsmith? They own Upstart now and have some good signs available.

You know the students and what will work for them better than anyone. Why not use
Clip Art (properly credited) and Word Art to make your own signs and laminate them?
You could probably make attractive signs suitable for YOUR group at a much lower
price than you could buy them.

( I may be biased, however, because I taught ESL in a past life to teens and adults
-- LOTS of clip art going on in those classes!)

Thanks to all who replied. you guys are still the BEST! bev
