Thanks to all who responded to my request for mystery titles. I have compiled a list and sent it to the teacher who requested it. The original request is below, followed by the responses: I have a request for a mystery book for a class read for a lower- level general 9th grade English class. I have some ideas, but would like to add some others to the list for my teacher. Please respond to me and I will post a hit. Thanks! Responses: What about Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan? ~~~~~ Some of my favorites that are high interest (not low, but definitely easy to read) are Plum-Ucci's The Body of Christopher Creed and Sleator's The Boy Who Couldn't Die. Also, Dead Connection by Price. ~~~~~ What about the Joan Lowery Nixon books. Our regular 7-8th graders use them as a class novel. It would probably work for lower readers in 9th grade too.
