[LM_NET] Author visit: L.D. Harkrader / Airball: My life in briefs

L.D. (Lisa) Harkrader came for an author visit yesterday and I feel
compelled to share with the rest of you.  I am not a huge fan of author
visits, but her visit yesterday was really well done - and unique.

I think what I liked most was that she showed students how the
writing/revision process works - she showed everything from her original
manuscript through the galley and how at every phase there is constant
revision.  Since she also writes reference books and was a ghostwriter for
K.A. Applegate, she discussed all of the research that is required for an
author to do.

If you're looking for an author who really shows students the process, she
is definitely the one to contact.
