After numerous years elsewhere I'm back in an elementary school library. I've been asked by our TAG (Talented and Gifted) teacher if it's necessary to read *The Lion, the Witch and Wardrobe* first.. What she wants to do is use The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as a book club selection. I'm guessing that the students who will be participating have not read any of the other books in the series. TIA for your comments. -- Judy Brown Media Specialist Swift Creek Elementary School Whitakers, NC swiftcreekjbrn@gmail.com "Despite the proliferation of mega-bookstores and neighborhood reading groups, most Americans are indifferent to the lure of literature: in fact, according to a Wall Street Journal article of a few years ago, some 59 percent of Americans don't own a single book. Not a cookbook or even the Bible".
