We have had Follett for many years and do occasionally experience these problems- 
more so when we had student aides checking books in and out. We alway check the 
shelves before we send out notices. I'm fairly sure that the majority of the errors 
are either from failing to actually check the book back in ( a big stack; miss one, 
several stacks someone asks a question and you forget that you didn't scan the book 
in your hand, didn't actually have the page selected - cursor isn't at right spot) 
or kids put the books back on the shelf themselves. I say this because we also have 
a security system- Checkpoint- which requires us to remove the tag that 
deactiviates the alarm and often I find books that were listed as overdue still 
having the tag in them  on the shelf..or we have looked for the book previously and 
suddenly there it is right where it is supposed to be but not checked in. 
   
  We have had so little trouble with Follett over the years that I can count 
problems on one hand. Switching to Destiny in the fall and will be so happy if this 
continues.
