(http://www.outreach.washington.edu/pc/email/slp/9251/slp.asp) (SLP) Certificate
Program prepares K-12 educators to develop
and facilitate a successful school library media program. Participants learn
how to establish information-rich learning environments to help students become
proficient users of instructional technology and efficient managers of
information.

Developed by the nationally recognized Information School at the University
of Washington, this flexible five-quarter graduate-level program has both
online and campus components designed to meet the needs of the working
professional.
SLP is fully approved by the State of Washington allowing out-of-state
students who complete our program to qualify for a K-12 library media endorsement
in
their home state.

The program is based on guidelines established by the American Association of
School Librarians (AASL), the Washington Library Media Association, and the
Alaska Association of School Librarians.

The program is fully approved by the University of Washington Information
School. SLP credits may be applied to a Masters in Library and Information
