Thanks to everyone who responded- we are using these suggestions to add
a player to our county bid list.

Our public library uses the WMA format also. Any MP3 but an iPod will
work. See website below for list of compatible devices our public
library uses.

I bought a Sansa Fuze 2 Gb MP3 player for my library, and it
charges through a PC's USB port. The box says:
Plays videos, music, photos and audiobooks*
   * Videos (MPEG-4) Music (MP3, WMA, secure WMA and audiobook file
formats), photos (JPEG). For additional specifications, please visit
the SanDisk website.

I paid $79 for it when it first came out, but have seen it for less
since then at Best Buy. I'm happy with it so far!

That is the type I use and I have a San disc SANSA model with 4 GB of
memory and I have had up to 10 books on it at once. I purchased it at
Best Buy if you have one near you.
