My opinion: we have NO business there - it is NOT our job - it is not appropriate - there are a million more valuable things to work on. It is a giant waste of time and runs against the professionalism we need to demonstrate. Students spend lots of time doing things and being in places. There is no need for us to be there, unless of course you want to get yourself in trouble. So again, my strongest advice is to stick with and spend time on the books, the databases, the media production, and all the other urgent things. It is actually shocking to me that any of us would see anything appropriate about being on Facebook related to our profession and students - "Arbeit ist Arbeit und Schnapps ist Schnapps."
