[LM_NET] Book Art?

Friends,
A long time ago, it was a fad to make 3D craft projects using old
books.  Does anyone remember it?  I need to make a birdhouse for a
cancer charity but I can't remember another thing about how you go about
folding the pages of the old book, etc.  Can anyone help me or am I the
only one who is old enough to remember it.  Thanks so much for your
