There was a recipe request for cranberry chutney. I actually have one -
except that I do not have accurate measurements. I sort of go by how it
looks. ;-)
Put into cooking pot:
1 bag cranberries
1 tart apple, diced
1/2 half sweet onion, diced
Several stalks celery, diced
Grated orange rind from one orange - and what the heck, put the juice in
also
About a cup of chopped pecans
Spices - cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg - whatever you like
Cover with water and cook for a very long time on very low heat - it will
all reduce to a mush - if it has not gotten to much add a bit more water
Add sugar to taste
Really good along chicken, turkey, hamburgers, roast pork. Try it in a
sandwich with these meats also.
