[LM_NET] How to evaluate info from blogs

I am constantly struggling with how to evaluate validity of information
posted on blogs.  I grade the works cited lists for our 10th grade
research project.  I teach them evaluation techniques, and give them an
evaluation form to use.   They do a good job in general.  Still, every
year I get more blog citations.  If the author posts credentials it is
easy.  If they don't - I advise the student to toss them out.  Many of
these sites have info that just looks SO good - it catches them up.  And
I am sure they go ahead and use the information anyway for projects
where there is no one checking their sources.

Here is one I just looked at.  It is very attractive and looks so
authoratative.  But there appears to be no info about the
authors/organizations involved.  Only 1 or 2 marginal websites link to
the blog.  Do you see anything I am missing?
