[LM_NET] web 2.0 tool?

I'm stumped, and thought I would through this out to the vast
collaborative mind of LM-Net!  : )

Our 7th graders are doing their annual book reports. (Don't get me
started...)  Last year, I talked the teacher into having the kids do
book-trailers with Animoto instead of the usual reports.  They were great,
but she doesn't want to spend that much time on these, so podcasts are
also out. I suggested doing a poster with Glogster, but the tech guys
don't want to unblock it because there is some seriously inappropriate
material on it.

VoiceThread would be sort of pointless...I'm fast running out of web 2.0
tools here.  Does anyone have any ideas for relatively easy book projects?
