A tried and true icebreaker activity with all aged is to hand them a yarn necklace 
when they walk in.  Give them one candy candy that loops onto the necklace and just 
hangs there.  When several have assembled tell them that they have ...... minutes 
or so to mix and mingle as everyone comes in.   However, if they hear someone say 
the word "No" or "Know" the hearer gets to take all the candy canes from the one 
who said the word.  It's really funny how manipulative and fun this game can be!

Good Evening All!!

I would like to do a Christmas project/activity with my 8th grade library 
workers.   Last year I let them make the old fashioned ornaments with 
sequins.   I don't think it appealed much to the boys.   Do you have any ideas what 
I can do for a fun Christmas project that they can take home?
