[LM_NET] Tar: Books like The Bearskinner

I'm trying again. The first post didn't go through.

I read Schlitz's adaptation of The Bearskinner to the 5th grade on Thursday and 
they raved about it and wanted more books like it.

There was a tension between good and evil.  Can anyone think of a title I could 
recommend that would be as suspenseful?  It could even be a short story.
