Hello, Our 5th grade has been keeping a paper copy of student and staff book recommendations. Now we would like to make this into a searchable database that everyone can contribute to. Moderation of student contributions would be necessary as well as using the student's real name. We want to be sure this type of service, secure if possible, is not already functioning before we reinvent the wheel. We want students to be able to meet with staff who have read the same book outside of their grade level. They need to be able to search for books and we plan to use Sears Subject Headings to keep a uniform list of subjects. I would love to hear others ideas of how this can work in an electronic format.
