Today I heard a Holocaust survivor speaker talk about at a visit to a school in Toronto. After his talk the principal took him on a tour of the school. He asked to visit the library. He asked the principal about the collection. What if a student, parent or teacher wanted to follow up on his talk? How many books does the library has Holocaust for children? How many books does the library have for teachers? The principal didn't know. After checking the principal was embarrassed to find they had very few books for teachers and none for the children. The lesson is we may hear someone give a speech, but we also need to have the books and other library materials for follow-up.
