Good Morning, All, I just received a request from a 3rd grade teacher for "an appropriate poetry anthology . . .for guided reading." Further description: not too huge, nice selection of authors. I've started pulling from our collection: * Fireflies at Night. Singer. * Pocket Poems. Katz. * An Illustrated Treasure of Read-Aloud Poems for Young People. (may violate the "not too huge" request) * Poem Stew. Cole. * Weather Report. Yolen. * Alphabestiary. Yolen. * Talking Like the Rain. Kennedy. What are your favorites? Thanks in advance, Kate Katherine Stehman Elementary Librarian Lampeter-Strasburg School District Lampeter, PA katherine_stehman@l-spioneers.org "You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians...."
