I'm writing a piece dealing with management of computer software, and would like to visit with someone at a district where the staff conducts periodic computer software audits. An audit is where someone or some program tallies all the software on each machine, and the resulting report is compared against licenses owned by the organization. The idea is to identify potentially unlicensed software on school machines. If your district does/did this (either directly or remotely) or participates/participated in some process where two or more districts perform these audits on each other, would you please contact me off-list? Thanks.
