My school district is looking at student research and asking the following
questions:

Why do we have students doing research?
What do we want students to come away with?
Do we have to have a completed paper for every project?
What could we do instead?

I want to develop some lessons that involve the TRAILS assessment: develop topic,
locate materials, search strategy, ethical use, and evaluation. I'd like to know if
any of you have lessons that are already developed that fit that criteria. I've
given the assessment to about 200 9th graders. I'd like to somehow differentiate
their research assignments based on the skills on which they need to focus.

I'll be happy to post a hit.
