A few colleagues of mine have asked if I know of any good sites to make
test on? I have been out of the teaching area for a couple of years
now, so I had only a few. If you know of any, I would certainly

One possibility is to use google docs to create a form. It can color
code responses, but not give the grades. Students do not have to have
usernames or passwords, just a name field to fill in on the form. Also,
you cannot add pictures or graphs to the test. If they decide to go
this route, email me and I'll be more than happy to put together a
how-to. :-)

CLASSMARKER is a free web based test and quiz making tool.
It has all the options expected on this type of app such as the ability
to create several different types of questions (true-false, multiple
choice, matching) plus the ability to easily add students (manually or
from a spreadsheet). Test results can be e-mail to the teacher and/or
student.
