To all lm-net members,

        This message is posted for our district coordinator.  Please
respond to his address which is listed at the end of this message.

        The Columbia Public Schools in Columbia, Missouri will be
accepting applications during the month of April for several media
specialists positions starting with the 1994-95 school year.

        Senior High Position at Rock Bridge High School.  10-12 building
with 1,000 students.  Staffing pattern--two media specialists with clerk.

        Junior High Media Specialist at West Junior High School.  8-9
building with 1,200 students.  Staffing pattern--two media specialists.
Position open will emphasize the technology elements of the media center
program.

        Middle School Media Specialist at Gentry.  6-7 building opening
in the fall of 1995.  Will house approximately 700 students.  A budget of
$400,000 for equipment as well as a budget of $60,000 for materials has
been approved.

        Columbia is a rapidly growing community in the central part of
Missouri.  Located two hours from both St. Louis and Kansas City.
Columbia serves as the home for the University of Missouri.  Money
Magazine has rated Columbia as one of the top most livable cities in the
country for the past five years.  The District currently has 15,000
students and will increase to over 20,000 students by the year 2000.
