Simple machines

LM_NETTERS:
One of my education students is planning a lesson on simple machines for
grade level 3. We can find lots of science experiements, nonfiction titles,
and books about wheels (fiction and nonfiction). However, we are trying to
find picture books (stories) that deal with simple machines, pulleys, gears,
levers, screws, inclined planes, and/or wheels. They seem to be few and
far between. Can you help? Can you think of any stories that have seesaws or
levers, etc. in them? Thanks for your help in advance.
