I have been researching a request for which I can find no answer. Help!!
Does anyone recall the introduction to an early television program that
was about a person who was fascinated by the houses with "golden windows"
across a valley. One day he/she set out to cross the valley and see those
houses "up close." When he arrived at the destination at day's end, he
realized looking back that the windows of his own home were golden. What
was the program? Or was this based on a poem or short story that anyone
can identify?

Thanks in advance for any clues you can offer.
