Historic Event

I don't know if the following has been posted to lm_net yet, since I've
had my lm_net mail turned off for a few weeks, but the following historic
meeting may be of interest to lm_net subscribers.

>From the CMLEA Newsletter, April 1994:

After a "virtual friendship" of twenty months, during which time they
launched and led LM_NET from opposite ends of the USA, Peter Milbury and
Michael Eisenberg met for the first time "in the flesh" at the CMLEA
Northern Section event in Livermore on February 26, 1994. Unfortunately
no one had the presence of mind to capture this historic moment on film,
but Peter reported that it began with Dr. Eisenberg's knocking on the
door of his motel room early in the morning, asking to borrow a hair
dryer for his wife, because their luggage had been delayed even longer
than they had in getting out of snowbound New York. Peter is reported to
have said, "Dr. Eisenberg, I presume?" ...
