KidsNET is a worldwide network of local BBS that sends their
messages in bundles by telephone late at night and weekends when tolls
are the lowest. The messages are passed from community to community.
They are also known as FIDOnet. Their messages are also carried as
USENET newsgroups as K12 newsgroups.
LM_Netters who have telnet but not USENET are welcome to telnet to
the Los Angeles Free-Net (telnet>lafn.org) and login as visitor. Go to the
Education Center where you will find both Academy One and K12Net.

Similar to KidsNet, but more curriculum oriented is FrEdMail, carried
on USENET as schl newsgroups. And NPTN's Academy One is carried on all
Free-Nets and is also available on USENET as nptn.academy.
