April 29,1994 Dear Librarian: The Great Lakes Collaborative is pleased to announce an unique and exciting teleconference available to all educators. The conference scheduled for May 11 focuses on global change and ozone depletion. The program features two world-class experts on the subject, Drs. Susan Solomon and Alex Weaver and will be introduced by Madeline Kunin, Deputy Secretary for Education. Global change is an important topic for all educators, particularly those involved in environmental and science education. Join this video conference to meet these experts who will share current information about ozone research. Great Lakes Collaborative is a Star School project sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education O.E.R.I. This teleconference will demonstrate ways in which Collaborative classroom sites are connecting to and making use of Internet resources. In addition to hearing what these experts have to say about ozone depletion, viewers will have an opportunity for program participation.
