Flexible Scheduling

Help!
I have been working for the last two years to get my principal to let me
try flexible scheduling.  I finally got the to ahead this year to try
flexible scheduling on two days.  I feel this is a major victory although
a lot of teachers are not happy because I cut their library periods to
try this.  My problem now is how should I schedule these two flexible days?
I plan to circulate a sign up sheet so I can plan lessons with the
teachers for those two days but I also want students to be able to come
in and browse also.  How can I keep track of students that may be
dropping in at different times?  I need all the suggestions I can get
because if this is not successful I will have to go back to rigid
scheduling next year. I will post a hit if there is enough interest.  I'm
sure this subject is old hat to a lot of you but I only came aboard this
summer so I hope you will bear with me.
