Job descriptions-school library media personnel

There has been a thread of discussion here about job descriptions for
library media personnel.  I subscribe to ERS (Educational Research
service 2000 Clarendon Boulevard Arlington, Virginia 22201  (703)
243-2100  FAX (703) 243-8316.  E-Mail   ers@access.digex.net  Their most
recent publication is called "Job descriptions in public schools)  second
edition.  The library media job description is priceless.  You will all
want to read it if you are concerned about the adequacy of your local
description.    In this publication they have all the range of positions
in good descriptions.  That might mean your administrator would like to
buy that publication.  If you are only interested in the media job
descriptions they also sell a job description packet which includes 30
examples of job descriptions representing broad range of employee
position (as they say from superintendent to food service worker).  The
base price of the packets is $62.00   For subscribers the cost is $31.00
The original publication costs the same amount.  It may seem steep but
the product surely is all you could ask for
