Several LM-Netters asked for information about various Library Automation Systems such as Dynix, Follett, Winnebago, COMPanion, Columbia, MOLLI, etc. There are excellent reviews of 28 different microcomputer Library Automation Systems described in 2 volumes of Library Technology Reports (March/April 1993 and May/June 1993). The reports are published by American Library Association. You may be able to find copies at a local public library or college library. You can also order these issues from ALA. (Tel: 800-545-2433). I think each issue is about $35 - $45. The report describes hardware requirements, features, prices, descriptions of cataloging, circulation, online catalog, and performance. An overall assessment and a report card rating is also included. I found these reports to be very valuable. Hank Epstein
